Message from the Patron - 2nd International Planetary Peace Conference 2026, India

It is a matter of great academic privilege for the University of Ladakh to be associated with the Second International Planetary Peace Conference (IPPC 2026), jointly organized by World Natural Democracy.
Having had the privilege of serving as Vice-Chancellor of Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga, Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh, and now the University of Ladakh, I have witnessed the remarkable diversity of India’s intellectual, cultural, and civilizational traditions. Across these institutions, one conviction has remained steadfast: universities are not merely centres for the dissemination of knowledge; they are custodians of wisdom, ethical reflection, dialogue, and the enduring pursuit of peace.
The theme of this Conference, “No Global Peace Without Global Justice,” carries profound philosophical significance. Lasting peace cannot be achieved merely through the absence of conflict; it must be rooted in justice, equality, human dignity, mutual respect, and the rule of ethical values. As institutions of higher learning, universities have a vital responsibility to cultivate these ideals through education, research, critical inquiry, and constructive dialogue, thereby contributing to a more peaceful, just, and sustainable global society.
In an era marked by unprecedented global challenges-including conflict, environmental degradation, technological transformation, and widening social inequalities-the responsibility of higher education has become more profound than ever before. Universities must nurture enlightened minds, compassionate leadership, and responsible global citizenship. They must also serve as spaces where philosophy, science, culture, and human values converge to inspire solutions for the common good.
The University of Ladakh warmly welcomes this important international initiative, which brings together distinguished scholars, researchers, students, policymakers, and practitioners from diverse disciplines and cultural backgrounds. Such academic engagements strengthen international cooperation, encourage interdisciplinary scholarship, and reaffirm our collective commitment to the universal ideals of justice, peace, and harmonious coexistence.
I commend World Natural Democracy for envisioning and organizing this significant global platform for intellectual dialogue. I am confident that the deliberations of IPPC 2026 will make a meaningful contribution to contemporary academic discourse and inspire collaborative efforts towards building a more peaceful, just, and sustainable planetary future.
I extend my heartfelt best wishes for the grand success of the Conference and trust that its outcomes will strengthen the enduring relationship between knowledge, justice, ethics, humanity, and our shared future.

Know about Natural Democracy !

"The last lifeboat of the human era is the one and only natural democracy" - Dr. Jawiad Abdullah

WND is a philosophy of human, life and the truth of this earth and the universe. By accepting the truth the 'self' becomes safe. Therefore this is a philosophy of security. 'Security' comes from correct cognizance of the freedom (rights) of a 'self' and the dependence (duties) of that 'self' on another 'self'.

Justice with Generation

The world today does not really want a child; it wants a small human being who can quickly become an adult. Just as we use artificial fertilisers and other methods to make plants grow faster, and try to make chicks grow faster, we are doing something similar with our children. From the moment a child is born, we want them to speak quickly, walk quickly, understand quickly, learn quickly, and become useful to the world as soon as possible. Their language, skills, cleverness, and even their ability to earn money—all must come quickly. Instead of allowing a child to have a childhood, we are rushing to make them a worker for the system and a customer for the market. This is not merely a mistake; it is one of civilisation’s greatest sins.

Who we are

World Natural Democracy (WND) is a global movement dedicated to nature, earth and environment. Not only in the form of activism but also theoretically and philosophically. After research and study we found that democracy should be there all over the world. Global peace is not established without global democracy. Global democracy is a means, global peace is the end. Only by walking on this path can we reclaim the first natural right of universal citizenship and universal nationality. The global expansion of democracy is called global democracy. But what kind of global democracy will it be? We believe that global democracy should be based on the laws and truths of nature. Therefore, global democracy is completely natural in its content and form. Therefore, it is a natural democracy. Ultimately as a member of this universe; our lasting goal is to establish natural democracy on earth. Formally it is a non-governmental and non-profit organization.

What we do

We have been raising the issue of global democracy based on the vision of 'natural democracy' in social, political and academic discourse at local, national and international levels for the last ten years (2014). Natural democracy is our vision. Global democracy is our goal. So that the possibility of global peace can be explored in the future.  At present, we are constantly trying to bring the issue of nature, earth and environment in the preamble of the constitution of all countries. At the same time, our academic branch, Freedom Studies Research Centre, committed to the values of freedom, peace and harmony. Our organization advocates for policies that prioritize ecological balance and community involvement. We conduct research, host workshops, and engage in grassroots activism to promote awareness and education about natural democracy.

Where we work

We work in India (naturally on planet Earth), presently in the state of Bihar. But virtually we have raised many issues in intellectual and humane discourse worldwide. Here, collaborating with local organizations, governments and communities to implement sustainable practices in the framework of natural democracy. Our work spans urban and rural areas, addressing both local and global challenges in order to develop a planetary, universal consciousness and create a more equitable and sustainable future and unified world for all.
